Not eating because you want to lose weight

Postby thirtythree » 24 Apr 2009 10:07

This is one of the worst things you can do. Your body needs a steady intake of calories throughout the day to properly regulate your metabolism. Starving yourself only leads to binging and makes your metabolism slow down. Your body thinks its starving and attempts to store more of the food as fat, not exactly what you had in mind.

The best thing to do, while not the easiest, is to eat 4-5 small meals a day and don't eat anything less than 2 hours before bed.

Even without exercise this will help keep your weight down.
