Any HTML coders out there?! Who does soley HTML these days? It's all about Flash and those nifty coding programs. That makes me sad. Will the need of hardcore HTML coders ever go away? Any thoughts?

I know what you mean. This site uses 'php' to generate the pages. But the output is pretty much straight HTML. Just a little javascript for some things but not too much. I guess it depends on what you want to do. Some folks do get carried away a bit.

I usually write my web pages in plain HTML, with some Javascript thrown in for good measure. There's a time and place for Flash, especially if you want a more dynamic and interactive interface. Games and animation shows are perfect examples. But I think a lot people go overboard; they try to cram too much onto one page. Less is more....

We use a database package at work and the formatting is html based. Everytime we want to do something a bit special we have to scout around on the net for the right code.
