You might like to set up a list of translation tools. Some I know to make your life easier are: http://babelfish.altavista.com (you can translate almost any language there, also Japanese<-->English). It is not the most accurate but it should help you get some meaning. www.rikai.com might become one of your favourites. Enter in the empty box a website (English or Japanese) and let it 'translate' for you. Then you can improve your skills with browing your mouse over the words you don't know yet, and it will show the meanings of these words. Good for learning!! www.wadoku.de is a professional translation tool German<-->Japanese. I know there are not many here who speak German, but if you do, this tool is definitely your first choice. Hope it helps!

Here's another really good translation tool. It's called POPjisyo. You can enter a japanese website, and then move your mouse over japanese words to find out the meaning and pronunciation. It was very useful!
