There are new Einstein dvs to teach kids all about sign language - anyone think tht is a good idea! I feel like we need to wait at LEAST until our kids can speak before we pressure them!

I think it depends on the DVD to be honest. Young children who are around signers tend to 'babble' with their hands without anyone trying to teach them. They just pick it up and I don't think that's a bad thing. Learning isn't a bad thing but pressurising them to learn is.

I think that we should wait for a while and let the kid grow their own.

I agree - I think its too much for childrne - somehow we managed without hving out infants "speak" to us - its too much pressure for a young child..
