My dad says that the lottery is a tax on people who can't do math.
This show is for people who play the lottery and expect to win.
I have no idea why it made it onto the air. It feels like it should be a comedy skit that would mercifully die after one or two reps.

I can't see the point of it...  I think I would quit right away, once some money was on the table... I'm a coward and need money! So, I would go for the secure thing before loosing more.

I can't speak for the US version of the show, although I heard that instead of other people they have models who stand and open the boxes. HAHA.

In the UK version they have about 22 people on the show at any one time, and one gets chosen at the start and plays and the others open boxes.  Then the next day theres a new person to take the winners place, and another person is randomly selected to play.  It means you can appear on the show (in theory) for the rest of your natural life...

What I hate is the presenter Noel Edmonds (probably no fault of his own, he's probably told to do it) but he paces around the studio saying.  "You're playing a very shrewd game, the banker knows this so he's offering you £500...."

With a 1 at the start and another zero at the end....

so he's offering £15000 right?  Yes!

Another thing how can you play a "shrewd game", you're randomly picking boxes with no pre-encounters, you can't be shrewd you dafto! I'll just add here that I am not claiming I am the first to spot this, I heard it from comedian Ed Byrne.

The version  they have in Spain is also with contestants instead of models, which I think makes it more interesting.  In the german version, they also have models.  I guess it all depends on the country!

I tihnk the theory is that SOMEONE has to win so why not me?? It is sad when people have the potential to leave with big money and risk it all!
