We just have the one, a turtle (terrapin) with no name.  We're gonna get him a mate though.  These are semi-aquatic (need both land and water to have a good time).  Anyway, has anyone had any experience with the land tortoises, especially the ones that grow huge.  I'd love one of them...

I only know that they live for a looooong time. Do turtles make good pets? It's not something I've ever considered and now I'm curious.
