This is cool news of biblical proportions -- the blind may see again! Scientists are working on a tiny electrical implant that may eventually help older people regain their eyesight. The device, which is still in the early stages of human clinical testing, attaches to the retina and relinks the brain and nervous systems. The most promising recipients are expected to be the millions of patients blinded by age-related macular degeneration. Very, very nice to know I'll be reading for as long as I want to. What an artificial retina may look like:

I am amazed on how technology has develop in so many ways! The life expectancy and the quality of life has improved o much in the last 30 years, that I actually hope I can live well into my hundreds! And now with this aid for blind people... is amazing!

It's amazing the leaps and bounds that science is making. Being able to see again will improve the quality of life I'm sure.
