Schools aren't the real culprit when it comes to child obesity, homelife is. A recent study of kindergarteners and first-grade students proved that kids are more likely to gain more weight during summer break than during the school year. Moms make your kids get up off their butts and do something besides eat cheesy poofs.

you have to teach kids things in the home that can be reinforced in schools!

During vacation time, kids should get out more and run in the sun and have outside activities. Staying at home and watching TV is what makes them gain weight.

My parents would've killed me if I'd eaten fries every day but all my friends did because that's what they ate at home.

Actually it is the eating habits at home that is mainly responsible for weight gain among children and if it is taken care off half of the problem might be solved.
