Who are the biggest slobs? Women it turns out. Sure, their desks may be neater, but on average, women's desks are three to four times germier than men's desks.

The culprits? Contact with small children, lots of snacks, and make-up, which all add up to more bacteria in, on and around their desks, phones, computers, keyboards, drawers. Yuck!

I think it all depends on the person, but the logic of why women would be worse makes sense.

I don't think I've ever seen one of the men I work with eat at his desk: they all go to the pub! Whereas the women... yeah most of us eat our lunch at out desks. And when it's a bad day we may have a chocolate bar there too.
