I am a skin cancer survivor, b ut my cancer was not melanoma.  I had a "dermatofibrosarcoma" which turned out to be a very rare type of cancer.  I got an MOHS operation and I haven't had it again.  But I go to my dermatologist once a year for her to check me out.

Wow I never heard of that before and I am a member of the National Council on Skin Cancer prevention...yikes! Can you give me some more info on what it is? Sounds like you have the same follow up as I do? What kind of treatment did you have for it?
